Global Alliance of Performers began in 1991 when a group of artists joined together to produce a highly successful concert to benefit the American and the International Red Cross during the Gulf War. The concert was held at Seattle's Paramount Theater and featured a wide variety of culturally diverse performers including Soundgarden's Chris Cornell, Alice in Chains, The Total Experience Gospel Choir, Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson's Lovemongers, Adefua African Music and Dance, and more.
To formalize this alliance of entertainers and media personalities, Global Alliance of Performers incorporated in July, 1991. The agency is directed by musicians, a savy music industry Board of Directors, Advisors, and the guidance of socially and environmentally active non-profit agencies.
